Sir Patrick Stewart #dig_nat
As part of an interview in connection with pbss upcoming airings of "Macbeth" and "Hamlet" in April, Sir Patrick Stewart tells frontlines Digital Nation that he can't condense life into a 140 character Tweet, and explains why he is afraid to start "gaming. The reason I think on why he is not into gaming is because, maybe, we just don’t want to be so IN to it.
I mean, based on the interview, he has only high praise for today’s technology.
BUT OH MAN. I am totally digging Patrick Stewart screaming at his head set while playing L4D or COD.
TASTE THY HATCHET YOU VILE BEAST! OH! BLAST! GET THIS ABOMINATION OFF ME!
OMG That server party will be epic.
So much epic win what he’s saying, its scary how much I agree with him. It seems funny to me though, he’s praising all this technology… but it’s nothing compared to the Enterprise ^^.
I love you patrick you make me laugh so hard LOL
I love Patrick Stewart.
Well…he rather clearly states ‘none’. He DOESN’T play. Presumably, the games he owns are ones he have done voice-work on, such as Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, and various Star Trek games.
Why can’t this man be my father?
Not only is he able to navigate an advanced cellphone, but he can compile emails, do Internet searches for what he wants…even research things he needs to and is actually WILLING to embrace technology at his age. Absolutely fantastic. Bravo Sir Patrick!
I agree with Mr. Stewart about the gaming, I feel the same way. I’m not dissing the games themselves, or the players, but if I get started I find I won’t have time for anything else. It’s just too easy to lose track of time when you’re gaming.
Technology is a wonderful thing and I’m all for it, but like everything else, I view it as a part of the overall experience of being human and being alive.
i NEED to know what games he plays.
well, even though i agree on the twitter part and the internet part, i kinda disagree about the gaming part. so yes, gaming is kinda addictive but yet i dont see where the problem is, i mean games can tell a story much better than movies
beside, you can read a book for 4 hours, you can see a movie for an hour n a half, and you could play the same game for nearly 100 hours so my point is: i dont think he should be “affraid” of games maybe he should try play one or 2 of them and see what its like
doesnt do twitter and afraid of gaming because it will ruin his life. You are the man sire!
Patrick Stewart is full of awesome. Engage!
I mostly agree with you; I hate Twitter, love the internet, but disagree about the gaming part. Just checkout my username!
I liked him in Dune too.
He would make a great WoW raid leader. Now if only he would learn to roll a paladin on my server.
What a person! Life, in my opinion, too, indeed, cannot be reduced to 140 characters. Stuff’s just to complicated and fraked up for that.
ah yes, i lost my job to the recession (damn you america!) so I can only get Heavy Rain
But i cannot wait for that! Plus the free DLC! hell yeah!
I know. LOL! I just put it so that weird fans would not say “you didn’t put Halo”. The truth is that I only played it once with a bunch of friends and I don’t like it. I love upcoming God of war3(must buy for me), Infamous(love it so much) Fable 2(excellent). I also can’t wait for Heavy Rain.
@sexyzeeboy: take out Halo and add in some non-shooter games
come on man, shooters are the most overrated genre
If I was playing MW2 and I heard him over the mic, I would shit myself and die of joy simultaneously.
He needs to play MODERN WARFARE. Halo, Killzone2, Gears, uncharted2, Mass effect2 and much more titles. He will love them a lot! LOL
love him
I love his spot on verbal enunciation!
the iphone borg appliction extension … hu?
just kidding! .*lol*
i am the same way, i have cases of games, cases of ps2, that i’ve played a few times or once (maybe none on others), they are really fun. i know how to pick them but that’s the problem, the fun factor is 2 high, i will get addicted to gaming, and i’ll get upset because my weekends gone and i’m back in school wondering where my weekend go
i wonder if he played any of those Star Trek vid games he lended his voice to? I can tell him he wouldn’t have to worry about getting addicted to them. heh.
